If you had actually gone down to the comments, you would have seen this link:

According to the Bush White House, the attack was foiled in 2002 - before KSM was tortured.

The CNS news story actually takes what the CIA said out of context.

The non-spun CIA statement is that KSM confirmed that the Liberty Tower was the target of the previously foiled attack during a hearing in 2005 - also, not a result of torture (though possibly because he was broken two years previously by the torture):

"In 2002, we broke up a plot by KSM to hijack an airplane and fly it into the tallest building on the West Coast. During a hearing at Guantanamo Bay two months ago, KSM stated that the intended target was the Library Tower in Los Angeles."

That's the CIA statement spun by CNS news. I wonder why they didn't quote it directly?

Could it be because their real intent is to keep their tools' temperature at a fever pitch?

So you are correct.

Let us not forget who we are dealing with: Islamic extremists who live in a culture of death. They cut off the heads of innocent people to make a political statement. They blow themselves up with bomb belts, killing scores of innocent people, to make a political statement. They hijack airliners full of innocent people and crash them into buildings (killing more innocent people) to make a political statement. They travel to foreign lands for a chance to kill our military.

Is water boarding relly torture? We do it to our military service members as part of their SERE training. Our enemies will likely do much worse to them.

The facility at Guantanamo Bay is more than adequate for these human scum. In all likeleyhood, they lead a better life there than they would in their home country.

There are no innocent people being held at Guantanamo bay. They were captured on the battlefield trying to kill our men. They wore no uniforms, and, as you have stated before, are not subject to the Geneva Convention. I personally do not care what hapens to them. What is most offensive in this case is not the "spin" from Pesident Bush, but the "re-mix" by the Statist left who want to use the opportunity to confer Constitutional rights to the scum, and close the Facility at Guantanamo.
